Living Well With Dementia:

Navigating the New Era

of Brain Health

Join us for this forward-looking community symposium designed specifically for care partners, people living with memory change, aging-service professionals, faith leaders, healthcare providers, and civic partners.

Together we will focused on the new realities of dementia care: recognizing changes sooner, obtaining an early and clear diagnosis, responding with compassion and skill, supporting care partners before crisis, and helping people with Alzheimer's disease or a related dementia remain engaged in relationships, community, creativity, and purpose for as long as possible.

Keynote Speaker:

Dr. Kalisha Bonds Johnson, Ph.D.

Dr. Kalisha Bonds Johnson is an Assistant Professor at Emory University’s Nell Hodgson Woodruff School of Nursing, board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner, and founder of the D.E.C.I.D.E. Research Lab and KBJ Collective. Her research and clinical work focus on developing culturally responsive approaches to dementia care that improve quality of life for African American individuals living with dementia and their family care partners. Drawing on her research, clinical expertise, and lived caregiving experience, she provides education, coaching, and practical resources that empower families to navigate the dementia journey with confidence and compassion.
