Keynote Speakers:
Anastacia A. Nichols, PsyD

Dr. Nichols is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Rehabilitation Medicine at Emory University School of Medicine, Director of Cognitive Rehabilitation Therapy within the Division of Rehabilitation Neuropsychology, and Director of Neuropsychology for the Emory Healthcare Veterans Program. A clinical neuropsychologist, she provides evaluation, cognitive rehabilitation, and psychoeducation for veterans and service members with mild TBI and co-occurring psychiatric conditions. She will discuss the Emory Healthcare Veterans Program and the intersection of PTSD, TBI, moral injury, cognition, recovery, and evidence-based treatment.
Sgt. Maj. (Ret.) William Skiles
A 30-year United States Marine Corps veteran whose service included combat in Fallujah, Sgt. Maj. Skiles brings extensive experience in military leadership, ethics, critical thinking, judgment, decision-making, cohesion, service, and sacrifice. Before retiring, he taught ethical behavior for the Commandant of the Marine Corps and developed the Marine Corps’ first Sergeants Major Course. He will share a leadership and lived-service perspective on recognizing change in ourselves and those beside us—and the responsibility to act.
