Skylark is excited to participate in the We Care Veteran Resource Fair at the Cobb Civic Center in Marietta. United Military Care has gathered a great group of resources for Veterans including representatives from the Atlanta VAMC and the Georgia Department of Veterans Services. Veterans can utilize legal services provided by Emory Law School and find health and benefits resources.

The We Care Veteran Resource Fair is the production of many volunteers and their donated expertise. At the event walk through event at the Cobb Civic Center, I was one of over 100 attendees. This group clearly had a long history of caring for and working with Veterans. It’s a committed group. Therefore, the quality of programming is highly relevant to Veterans.

Many organizations donated their expertise for getting the word out in social media and in advertising. It’s truly a volunteer labor of love to serve and find resources for Veterans and their families who love them ranging from homelessness, legal and health needs, mental health challenges and so much more. Please invite the Veterans you know and love to come attend this great event.

Skylark All Honor Club For Veterans

Skylark has welcomed Veterans to our Centers since 2006 as a direct provider of adult day health services with the Atlanta Veterans Administration Medical Center. In Skylark’s All Honor Club Veterans engage with Veterans. We celebrate their service with special excursions and awards.

Skylark continues to serve Veterans receiving health benefits through the VA Community Care Network of providers. The VA adult day benefit pays for up to five full days of care and transportation to and from the Skylark Day Center.
