On Tuesday, Skylark visited Azalea Park in Roswell, GA along the Chattahoochee river. This was our first excursion since February 2020. We are vaccinated. Everyone is enjoying the outdoors without a mask. It’s quite the milestone.
We’ll continue our excursions through out the summer and the rest of the year. We’re proud that our members enjoy so many different experiences. Over time, we’ve been all over: to the Martin Luther King Center in Atlanta to the North Georgia Mountains and everywhere in between. After being isolated for so long, it’s good to resume more normal activity.
We continue our march forward. Here are a few milestones that we’re set to meet:
- Beginning July 1, 2021, all Members attending the centers will need to be vaccinated. We are already collecting vaccination documentation as new Members enroll. Currently, 100% of our Associates are vaccinated.
- After July 1, we’ll start relaxing some of our masking and social distancing requirements. We’ll still have plenty of space to move around with, but we’ll be in keeping with the CDC guidance that relaxes mask requirements among fully vaccinated individuals.
- We’ll continue many of our infection control habits that we’ve developed over the past year. Individuals who show signs and symptoms of illness will be isolated, masked, and sent home. We’ll continue using the Synexis Bio-defense system to help sanitize our centers including the air and surfaces.
Every day we hear from more old friends ready to return to the centers. We continue to hear from new friends that they want to start coming to the center.
We’re pleased to announce that the Veteran’s Administration in Atlanta has announced that Veterans may return to Skylark. We’ve started reaching out to our Veteran families and look forward to welcoming back our Veteran Heros.
